Pamela is attending Midem this week, the music conference in Cannes, in the beautiful south of France. She’s meeting Irish singer Geraldine Mangan there, and after the conference, the two will return to Dublin, where Pamela has been invited to give an all-day seminar on songwriting to IMRO, the Irish performing rights organization.

It’s expected to be well attended and lively! She will pass through London and try to catch a West End show on her way home – hopefully “We Are The Champions!” the wonderful musical about Queen, and the charismatic and talented Freddie Mercury.

How I Got To Soldier of Orange!. When Frank Sinatra introduced me to his friend Freddie Heineken, the Dutch brewer, who was also a terrific unheralded songwriter, little did Sinatra know he was setting in motion a connection which led to Diederick vanEck, the “Van Gogh by VanEck” project with the Van Gogh Museum, and then a recommendation to Fred Boot, the producer of the newly-in-development musical, “Soldaat Van Oranje.” All of which took over 2 decades to come to fruition!
