Anne Murray and Dave Loggins’ Grammy-nominated record of her #1 song “Nobody Loves Me Like You Do” has logged well over 1,000,000 airplays. A career lyricist who defies categorization, she writes in styles from R&B to country, pop to rock, jazz to gospel. Her extensive movie work includes her 2004 Genie Award-nominated (“best original song in a motion picture”) end-title song for “Blizzard,” the end-title to the forthcoming “Puerto Vallarta Squeeze,” the “Digga Digga Dog” opening and end-title song to 102 Dalmatians, and main themes to “Coming To America,” “Gideon,” “Burglar,” and “I’m Gonna Git You Sucka.” Her t.v. work includes J*A*G, The Sopranos, Xena: Warrior Princess (3 songs for the cult favorite “Bitter Suite” episode) and all songs (music & lyrics) for the award-winning Kids Ten Commandments. She’s the author of two popular music industry books, “The Art Of Writing Great Lyrics,” and “The Art of Writing Love Songs,” both published by Allworth Press. With highly regarded writer-performer Red Grammer, she co-wrote the 2005 Grammy-nominated “best musical album for kids,” “Be-Bop Your Best.” Oland and her partner in TOPA Music, Tom Harriman just completed writing and producing the CD and art package Van Gogh by Van Eck for Amsterdam’s Van Gogh Museum, currently a part of their Van Gogh & His Fellow Expressionists Exhibition.
