Lyric Evaluations and
Songwriter Consultations

A Songwriter with more than 450 recorded songs to her credit and two popular published books on the topic of lyric writing, Pamela has also led innumerable seminars and courses.

She began with an 8-year run teaching Advanced Lyric Writing at UCLA. She has lectured to songwriter groups dozens of times around the U.S.A. and abroad. Currently, her advanced songwriting course entitled, “Thinking As A Songwriter” is available to students of www.Songu.com.

It has been some years since Pamela has offered one-on-one consultations, but she has very much enjoyed doing them the last 3 years at ASCAP’s “I Create Music” Expo. (Yes, she’ll be offering one-on-one’s at this April’s Expo for those who wish to sign up).

Pamela has decided to offer a limited number of private one-on-one consultations, as her time permits.

• In-person songwriting and/or career consultations will be charged at $100.00 per hour. (This includes in-person video conferences via Internet, using iChat or Skype)
  • For one-on-one consultations, please contact Pamela using the form below so that a time and place for your meeting may be set up. Once the meeting has been set, you may pay in advance using PayPal.
• Songwriters may submit lyrics for evaluation and critique. Pamela will critique your lyrics and return them to you by e-mail.
  • In-depth written Lyric Evaluations handled via email will be charged at $60 per song.
  • Re-writes and revised versions will be charged at $40 per submission.
    • NOTE: To obtain lyric evaluations: Please first pay the evaluation fee via PayPal, by clicking the “PayPal” link below. Please then attach your lyrics to the email form below.
    • Among the possible critique topics, Pamela will consider:
      • Is this a good title and/or song concept?
      • Is the hook effective?
      • Is the song written consistent with the genre?
      • How well is the formula being followed?
      • How could you make this story stronger?
      • Is the style consistent throughout?
      • Why is this song marketable (or not)?
      • Is your lyric "in the pocket"?
      • Does this song need a re-write, and if so, why?
      • Why will a listener care about your characters and story?
      • HOW CAN YOUR SONG BE MADE STRONGER?

Songwriters Please Note: Pamela is a full-time working songwriter and so she normally limits her teaching to Music Industry group seminars. She will offer these one-on-ones and on-line lyric evaluations, as time permits.

3. 1-HOUR MENTORING SESSION
